Penwell-Gabel Funeral Homes, Crematory and Cemetery is giving away 500 Christmas trees to families in need.
The only requirement is that people interested in receiving a tree call (785) 357-8005 to reserve their tree.
Penwell-Gabel staff and owner, Ren Newcomer, will be available from 1 to 4 p.m. Dec. 6 at the cemetery, S.W. 6th and Gage, to assist with load and tying down the trees for transportation.
