TOPEKA — The Kansas Department on Aging and the Kansas Department of Social and Rehabilitation Services will host a public meeting July 24 to discuss long-term care issues and begin setting budget priorities for fiscal 2011.
The meeting will begin at 10 a.m. at the SRS Learning Center, which is at the corner of Second and MacVicar streets in Topeka.
Those unable to attend the Topeka meeting are invited to submit written testimony to Steve Mock at steve.mock@srs.ks.gov or Barbara Conant at barbara.conant@aging.ks.gov.
Interested persons also may participate via teleconference at SRS offices in, Atchison, Chanute, Colby, Dodge City, El Dorado, Emporia, Garden City, Great Bend, Hays, Kansas City, Larned, Lawrence, Liberal, Manhattan, Newton, Overland Park, Parsons, Phillipsburg, Pittsburg, Pratt, Salina, South Hutchinson, Topeka, Wichita, and Winfield.
The meeting is part of an SRS-KDoA initiative aimed at taking a unified approach to administering the state’s long-term care system.
